All I require now is
1) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI
2) An abundance of snow.
Of these two factors.
Number 1) I could actually just buy on my credit card, were it not for the facts that this would,
a) be a massively unwise thing to do on the basis of only having driven such a device once;
b) not really being able to afford it especially where there are more important and necessary things to buy for the house;
c) living in a country which specialises more in snow of the unfrozen variety;
d) this is a US sales only snowmobile and I suspect shipping it back to the UK + flights would cost more than the machine itself and;
e) I’d want one with some sort of puppy carrying capacity so Jimmy could put on his little puppy goggles and go haring round a snow track with me.
Of course shelling out for a brand new snowmobile, no matter how cool it might be, seems somewhat frivolous when the money could be spent on a more practical means of conveyance in the Yorkshire temperate climate. A sensible road going vehicle such as…

I appear to have a very strong instinct to want to go very fast in things and drive round corners in a manner I would describe as “massively unsafe” and I really don’t think its wise for me to be permitted on the road in anything more powerful than say perhaps…

…which is arguably a lot cheaper and more environmentally friendly that the other means of conveyance discussed so far.
Number 2) Has conveniently taken care of itself in the form of Mr Steve Brewer going to work in Sweden for 6 to 12months and extending an open invitation to go visit him and stay at his pad. I have thusly charged him with finding some snowmobiling activities over there and I fully intend to go over there and give it another crack on a bigger machine and a much more open course.
I’m fairly sure I can afford a trip to Sweden and given the opportunity Steve is presenting, I’d be silly not to go at some point.
I may possibly extend snow to having two uses when I get round to giving snowboarding a try.
